A Planting of Oaks for His Splendor!

RobleVida, or “Oak Life” is a vision given to Danna to reach across cultures to share the love of Christ with our area’s Hispanic children. As they meet under a huge oak tree, “Kenyan-style”, in their neighborhood on Oak Tree Road, the name is both fitting and prophetic: “They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.” (Isaiah 61:3) Two summers in Kenya taught us that you really don’t need much to start a back (or front) yard ministry: a shade tree, some snacks and drinks, a few journals, and some extra Bible story resources. Meeting when weather permits on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-4:45-ish, our inaugural year last year propels us into the future as we anticipate a late September start for this year as well…likely on Tuesday afternoons!
