Psalms of Praise – Part 2 – Psalm 146 – Praise and Trust

Our second Psalm of Praise is Psalm 146, where the psalmist points to a very important point about praise in general: Praise and trust go together.  Basically, the question emerges, “Can you trust God enough to praise Him in times of trouble?”
In this amazing scripture, the psalmist gives his Hallel praise to God and commits himself to praise God all the time with all that he is, warning us not to trust people, but to be “blessed” by getting our help and placing our trust in God alone!

The Psalms were the hymbook of the Jewish people and the early Christians including Christ.  Through them we can begin to understand what it means to glorify God.  Just as our prayer life is vital to the Christian faith, so it our Praise Life!  Through this study of a few of Pslams of Praise, we will begin to challenge our minds and control our lips, to turn moments of worry, doubt, fear, and bitterness into praise and worship to God and for God!
